The Illini dropped two more games this weekend, making their record 0-6-0, one of the worst starts to the season in quite some time. League rival Ohio University out played the Orange and Blue on Homecoming weekend, scoring 13 goals to the Illini's 1.

On Friday night the Illini defense started out strong, breaking up several Ohio chances. The Bobcats registered their first goal just over six minutes into the first, but were kept out of the net the remainder of the period. However, in the second period the flood gates opened as Ohio registered goal after goal, making it 6-0 after 40 minutes of play. Just over a minute into the third period Ohio added to their score, netting one of their 4 power-play goals of the evening. Halfway through the period the Bobcats capped off their scoring with their eighth goal of the evening. Final Score: Ohio 8 - Illini 0

Saturday night's game wasn't looking any better than Fridays as it started out with Ohio netting 4 goals with in a ten minute span in the first period. The Illini finally got on the board in the second period as Francesco Addante found the back of the Ohio net. The Bobcats also added another goal in the period, but that would be the final goal of the night. The game ended with only 4 minor penalties being issued during the 60 minutes of play. Final Score: Ohio 5 - Illini 1

The Illini's next games will be at home on the 21st and 22nd of October against the Grand Valley State Breakers.
