After coming up short in the CSCHL playoffs, the Illini know they have their work cut out for themselves as they head into the ACHA National tournament. The No. 9 seed Illini will have two weeks the get some practice in before taking on No. 8 Arizona.

Arizona has a record of 25-4-3 on the season, and has captured the Western Conference Hockey League championship. It has been some time since the Illini last faced Arizona, but in those games the Wildcts took both wins on the Big-Pond. The Illini and Wildcats have very few mutual opponents although this season both teams had played UNLV and Central Oklahoma.

The 2020 ACHA Men's Division I National Championships will be hosted March 19-24 for the second time by the Dallas Stars, Visit Frisco, and Children’s Health StarCenters at the Comerica Center, in Frisco, TX.
